- REMEMBER when you are selected for the squad it is a privilege and you are representing our club and team.
- The sign of a good sports man is to show good attitude both on and off the pitch. Look after the new guys in our squad.
- Arguing with the referee, opponents, each other or the trainer destroys the teams concentration on the pitch and makes for a bad atmosphere. Don't do it!
- Building Down (shouting, clapping from the bench) in negative situations on the pitch will give the team a bad name and with the point above, turn referee's against us. Don't do it!!
- WARM DOWNS: We have games for at least 3 days (more I hope). It is VERY important to jog down and stretch after each game to speed up restitution ( Simen to control).
- Bring enough sports drink for before, during and after the games. Intake of meals, at least 2 hours before a game (light meal). Drink often especially in the hours before the game.
- Morning games: Get up at least 2 to 3 hours before meeting time. The body needs to wake up and reach its natural day time peak before hard exercise. Afternoon, evening games: Do not spent 4 or 5 hours on your feet at Ekeberg or where ever before a game, you will not be properly rested and become a weak link in the team.
Ok thats enough from me, some of these points may seem like common sense to most of you I hope but they have to be said so you are reminded.
Now lets enjoy the cup and give it all !
